Take a lovely suburban route to Historic New Bridge Landing on the Hackensack River. This site passed back & forth through British and American hands during the Revolutionary War and now contains the Steuben House, the Campbell-Christie House and other historic buildings. After touring the site and reading the historical markers, continue on to lunch at the River Edge Diner - a classic New Jersey diner and bakery. Cycle home on side roads, climbing Walnut to return to the GW Bridge. Mapped route starts & ends at Grant's Tomb.

This route does not end in New Brunswick; it ends in Raritan, NJ -- Driving to New Brunswick is not feasible because it is not an out and back. You must take NJ Transit:  Train Schedules | NJ TRANSIT | New Jersey Transit Corporation | New Jersey
