The site contains the Campbell-Christie House, built 1774, plus other historic buildings. This ride should only be done with a small group. There’s a high-traffic intersection where you make a left turn from New Bridge onto Main (mile 26.6) plus another stretch of high-traffic road getting from the historic site to Bogert Rd. Call Bergen County Division of Historic Affairs in advance (201-336-7267).

Starting at Grant's Tomb, this ride goes to the site where American troops were massacred by the British. A series of plaques tells the story. There are picnic tables at the site.** Lunch can be purchased at one of two delis or two bagel shops around the intersection of Rivervale Rd. and Westwood Ave. There are no bathrooms at the historic site, so stop at Pascack Brook Park before buying lunch. On route home, there’s another pit stop at a park on Westwood Ave. Easy B or C ride. Can be shortened for C ride by starting or ending at NY side of GW Bridge.
