Lots of turns; not an A route.

RWGPS and its cue sheet re-routed from the Grand Concourse to the more bike-friendly Broadway Bridge/ Sedgwick/ Goulden on the way out.

At mile 18.4 a good rest stop: Duncan Doughtnuts.

At mile 25.1 (Kensico Dam) a good rest stop.

Lunch stop across from Mt Kisco train station (several choices).

Metro North bailouts at Mt. Kisco, Valhalla, White Plains, and Scarsdale. Subway bailout at mile 69 (#4) or at mile 71.1 (#1).

Great route to Kensico Dam. Lunch at Kensico Dam Plaza. Optional route onto Bronx River Parkway if it happens to be closed to cars at time of ride (Sundays May - Oct). Optional bailouts on Metro North White Plains and stations south, bring a Metro North Bike Path if in doubt of full length of ride. If you take Metro North to or from White Plains you can cut this ride in half, easily a C ride.

RWGPS route and cue sheet re-routed off Grand Concourse to the more bike friendly Goulden.

Yes, 6 Covered Bridges plus a Pony Box Bridge (only the trusses are covered). All of which are in Pennsylvania. Also great views of the Delaware River from the Bull's Island Bridge. This is a unique cycling experience for NYC riders in region, riding surface, landscape and local architecture.

Vertical gain on Ridewithgps might be inflated, although there is definite climbing.
