NJ side of the GW Bridge (start) > Summit > East Clinton > Schraalenburgh > Blanche > Rivervale Rd > Sickletown Rd > Old Mill Rd > Christian Herald Rd > Nyack > 501 Churchill > NJ side of the GW Bridge (finish)
Ride starts and ends on the NJ side of the GW Bridge.
Spencer’s classic winter route to Nyack by the reservoirs of the Hackensack River system. He manages to weave in the nicest elements of the region in one ride.
No distances on the original cue sheet. I left it for sentimental value.
It enters Nyack from the north via Christian Herald, a short, steep climb.
Grant's Tomb > GW Bridge > Tappan Rd > Joseph B Clarke Railtrail > Western Hwy > Old Mill Rd > Rockland Lake State Park > Rockland Lake Trail > Nyack Beach > Nyack > Cuomo Bridge > Broadway > Warburton > Broadway Bridge > Grant's Tomb
This loop goes up the west side of the Hudson thru West Nyack and Congers to Rockland Lake State Park, then comes down the lovely bike path to Nyack Beach, through Nyack and across the Cuomo Bridge. Once you're on the Tarrytown side, you can continue on the east side of the Hudson back to Manhattan or turn north for less than a mile to the Tarrytown train station. Here are a few notes about the route:
Dinosaur Playground > GW Bridge > River Rd > Closter Dock/High St > Schraalenburgh > Blanch/Washington > Old Tappan Rd > Rivervale > Orangeburgh > Blue Hill > Sickletown > Blauvelt > Erie > Greenbush > Bradley > High St > Main St, Nyack > Piermont Ave > Lunch in Piermont > Ferdon > 340/501 > Dean Dr > E. Hudson > Lydecker > Walnut > GW Bridge > Riverside Dr to 97th.
Ride starts at Dinosaur Playground on Riverside Dr. at W. 97th St.
This is the classic "hilly way" to Nyack for B & C riders. It then circles back to Piermont for lunch. (This route only does Bradley. If you want to throw in Tweed, see C-SIG 2016 Group 5 Ride #7.) The return is via NY-340/NJ-501 and Walnut.

This is the classic "hilly way" to Nyack, including both Bradley and Tweed. The ride then circles back to Piermont for lunch (but you can have lunch in Nyack, if you wish). The return is via NY-340/NJ-501, Jones Rd. & Linden (for a different way up the hill).
