Ride starts and ends on the NJ side of the GW Bridge.

Spencer’s classic winter route to Nyack by the reservoirs of the Hackensack River system. He manages to weave in the nicest elements of the region in one ride.

No distances on the original cue sheet. I left it for sentimental value.

It enters Nyack from the north via Christian Herald, a short, steep climb.

Variations incorporating a number of roads to Nyack with a fairly direct return thru Piermont.

Featured Hill Bradley/ Highland and IBM road ascent to 9W with State Line hill, otherwise not too hilly.

If anyone can give us the name of the road at IBM, please do.

If IBM road is closed, ascend to 9W on Oak Tree.

RWGPS route ends at Grant's Tomb

Hilly way out beginning on Bradley which is not fully ascended as the route takes a left onto Schuyler. Please note that these hills are not suitable for winter riding if ice is prevalent.

Cue sheet has notes on turns and hazards.

This route is a good representation of what the NYC metro area has to offer in an out and back ride over varied terrain and esthetics.
