Metro North both ways on Hudson Line. Check time table. Metro North bike pass needed. Hilly route out to Goshen.

The most difficult route is on RWGPS and its cue sheet. Other options on author's cue sheet, which has been updated. But no bailouts.

Check Metro North schedule for latest train times.

This route presents the best hillclimbing of Harriman State Park and its environs. Also a very pretty ride.

As Mine Torne Rd is closed to the public, route now goes back via 7 Lakes Drive.

You can tie "The Knot" many ways. To deserve the name "The Knot" a ride must come at the crossroads of Tweed Blvd and Clausland Mountain Rd from every direction. This route does not technically achieve this (who wants perfection?). However, it takes in the added climbs of Old Mountain/Christian Herald/Mountain View and Schuyler Rd. Plenty of climbing here.

Thank you Timothy McCarthy for this most imaginative and challenging out and back ride at our door step.
