Join SPCARBON Bicycles president, Shawn Powell, for an interesting and informative discussion on modern advances in road cycling.  Shawn will talk about electronic shifting, disc brake systems, the aerodynamic advantages found in carbon fiber wheels and the new SRAM 1x11 chainring set-up.

Shawn Powell is the president of SPCARBON Bicycles. Since its inception in 2009, SPCARBON has produced hundreds of bikes with two core principles in mind: rider comfort and rider efficiency.  With decades of experience building, fixing, and modifying bicycles, Shawn has an intimate knowledge of bike mechanics and technology.  Shawn has traveled to Asia six times to oversee factories developing carbon bike components.  Shawn has been an avid racer since childhood; career highlights include racing at the 1992 World Championship, and more recently the 2015 Italian Gran Fondo. He works closely with triathletes and road cyclists to improve their performance.
