<p>This has been revised as all access to Ringwood directly from NY State is now deemed illegal due to private property concerns. </p><p>The single track is quite rideable, but you will either need to keep an eye open for changing trail markings or follow your prompts on your GPS device. <u><em>But understand that the places the trail marking change on the map are approximate.</em></u></p><p>Water is in restrooms at Skylands Manor area on map.</p><p>New Jersey Transit from Hoboken on the Main/Bergen County line to Sloatsburg. Note that trains run infrequently. If you return late or early, the next station option for hourly service is Suffern, not a bike friendly ride down Rt 17.</p><p>Ringwood has a vast array of trails and roads for all levels of cycling. </p><p>You will need a map or apps on your phone such as Trailforks when you explore Ringwood as trails are not well marked. A GPS device is ideal as not all trails are on maps. In fact, this single track entry is not yet on either Trailforks or the Avenza app maps; it is that new. So you will not find parts of this route on the Ringwood map download.</p><p>This area is surprisingly easy to access from Manhattan as the PATH train or Waterway ferries take you directly to the Hoboken trail terminal.</p><p>HS 7/4/2019</p>
