OK, you’re a road cyclist…but bike touring? Whether you’re a veteran bikepacker or just touring-curious, you won’t want to miss the NYCC March 8 club meeting with a presentation by NYCC member and acclaimed photojournalist Peter Crosby. Peter has toured more than 60 countries by bike, but his greatest exploration was a solo 1,700-miler across China in 1994—that he repeated 25 years later! In gorgeous and intimate still and video photography, Peter captured this unique touring project he dubbed “Belly of the Dragon,” in "Cycling Across China with Peter Crosby,” a 4-part series now on China Global TV Network (free streaming at the bottom of this page: https://bit.ly/3eOab7u), soon to be re-released by National Geographic Television. Peter’s other work has been featured on National Geographic TV’s Explorer, Monitor Radio, NPR’s Radio Expeditions, and in National Geographic Traveler, Asian Wall Street Journal, AsiaWeek, and the L.A. Times
Attend this zoom presentation and learn how bike touring is the best way to authentically experience a new place, especially in the developing world!
