This was the 3rd ride for Group 1. It includes some urban riding thru the Bronx, but much of it is on lower traffic side roads. Bronxville has several lunch options. Group 1 picked up lunch at The Taco Project and had a picnic at the public Bronxville Tennis Courts. There are benches but no tables. After lunch there's one climb up Palmer - it's in 3 sections - but then you're on the South County Trailway for a sweet, gentle downhill glide.

The Ashokan is New York City's second biggest reservoir. This shady route crosses the reservoir and provides panoramic views from both sides. If the visability is clear, views of the Catskills are striking as they ring the reservoir on 3 sides.

This is a beautiful loop made possible by the opening of the Cuomo Bridge bike path, and for those who like mixing it up and riding both roads and rail trails.

The loop takes 9W north to Nyack, then crosses the Mario Cuomo Bridge bike path to Tarrytown, ascends up to the Tarrytown Lakes Park, then returns south on the N/S County Rail Trail  to Van Cortlandt Park continuing to the Hudson Bridge crossing and the Greenway bike path south to wherever you want to finish.
