One way. You can return by descending north, down to North Adams, then back south.

Be careful on Rt 7; heavy traffic and narrow shoulder.

Another in a set of Wassaic to Poughkeepsie. Bailout from Copake Falls to Wassaic 76 miles but trains run 2 hours apart from Wassaic. If strong westerlies are blowing, headwind on return to Poughkeepsie.

6200' of vertical Not accessible via public transportation. Park car just 0.1 mile west of intersection of Rts 28 & 47 in designated parking lot. 

Original cue sheet incorrectly says Yagerville Rd to end, but actually a left on Greenville Rd.

A public drinking water pipe is on Sugarloaf, on the left, less than 0.1 mile past the turn for Red Hill.

2 deli stops possible on route.

Sugarloaf/ Red Hill ascent, 1600', is the greatest vertical climb in our region.
