"It’s do-able as a C route, as long as the write-up is clear about the degree of difficulty.  It’s a bit more vertical than would normally be in a C route,  The leaders would also have to be very precise about pacing – doing a true 14 on flat terrain but not letting people blow themselves out early on the climb – it’s essentially a 14 mile climb with very little let-up.  C riders would need low gears to do th

The "triple rhubarb." Mohonk, Clove Valley-Minnewaska, and Craigsmoor out of Ellenville, with the heinie kicker Oregon Trail, as Zorba would say: the whole castastrophe. But a meal fit for a king. We wouldn't have it any other way.

You don't have to be an A or upper level B rider to do this iconic Berkshire ride. Take the shorter (55 miles), somewhat easier version of this gorgeous route. Yes, there's one really steep climb, but it's short and there's no crime in walking that last part  -  you'll still get the street cred for conquering Bash Bish.

The Bash Bish ascent is quite steep. Without proper gearing you will either suffer or walk.

Thanks John Semel for converting this route to RWGPS!
